So I recently acquired a personal trainer (who is awesome!) and I have been working out. I feel so much better when I do! For those of you who don't, I totally suggest it. Especially now that it is getting nice out, just take a walk around your neighborhood.
Anyway, I find sometimes when I get to the gym though it is hard to have the right motivation. I try to think about why working out and staying in shape is important to God. For example, I try to remember that God gave me this body and I am supposed to take good care of it. It makes me think of the story in the Bible about when three people were given money and they were supposed to take care of it and make it grow. I think that can be applied to our bodies as well. We have been trusted to take care of this body. Anyway, it helps me to think of this while I am working out. It is a much more consistant and encouraging motivator than beauty magazines.
